About Sangla
Sangla is a city in the Baspa Valley, also referred to as the Sangla valley, in the Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh, India, close to the Tibetan border. Sangla is situated at an about the elevation of 2,621 meters above from the sea level.
Sangla Valley or the Baspa Valley starts at Karcham and ends at Chitkul. Sangla is the major town in the valley with a petrol pump, Bank ATMs, Post Office, Restaurants, bar, mid range hotels and shops.
Beautiful Sangla valley is completely picturesque valley with the fulfill by nature and snow capped mountain views. Flowing river view from just near to Raksham village is amazing and Chhitkul village, which is also known as heritage village of the town.
There are also many camp sites near the river, where you can spend some memorable time of your life and can enjoy the scenic view of whole Baspa valley of Kinnaur. You can also enjoy fishing here.
Sangla Tourist Places
The valley is surrounded by forested slopes and offers views of the high mountains. Its location in the greater Himalayan range gives it a milder climate than the plains.

Approach
The nearest airport is at Shimla, which is about 224 km from Sangla city. The airport is connected to many major cities like Delhi, Mumbai etc. The cabs and taxis services are easily available from outside the airport to Sangla.
